HEI Energy hosts webinar series on energy production and human health

February 5, 2021

HEI Energy will host a new webinar series, Energy Production and Human Health: Surveying Current Knowledge about Exposures from Unconventional Oil and Natural Gas Development (UOGD). This series of webinars will provide impartial information about human exposure and health effects associated with UOGD with two primary objectives:

  1. Inform policymakers, communities, and others making health-based decisions about UOGD.
  2. Raise the level of understanding of UOGD operations and help to ensure the utility and relevance of future research.

Webinar 1: February 26, 2021 at 12-1:30 PM ET

Human Exposure Research in a Cyclical Industry Part 1: Air Emissions from Unconventional Oil and Natural Gas Development

This first webinar will increase understanding of specific UOGD processes associated with air emissions and trends in the emissions – learning from past experience and looking to future changes that can influence human exposure. The primary goal is to inform policymakers, communities, and others making health-based decisions about UOGD and academics who must factor these trends into their study designs to ensure the utility of their human exposure research.
