On April 2, The Health Effects Institute’s Energy Research Program (HEI Energy) hosted a virtual Open House for the research team of a recently completed study to share their study design and findings. This event was open to all individuals who may be interested.

In 2021, HEI Energy funded independent research on how people in the Eagle Ford shale region of Texas might be exposed to noise and chemicals from unconventional oil and gas development. The study, “Predictive, Source-oriented Modeling and Measurements to Evaluate Community Exposures to Air Pollutants and Noise from Unconventional Oil and Gas Development, has concluded and the research team shared the results.

The Open House provided an opportunity to:

  • Meet the research teams

  • Learn about the research, study findings, and what the results mean

  • Ask questions about the research

  • Find out where to learn more about the research and data
